POWERPOINT
My powerpoint will feature most of the stuff we used in the fisr three powerpoint assingments. I will use pictures from the web as well as clipart. I will insert sounds that go along with the presentation. I will make sure that my text blends in correctly with the backround. I learned how to get better at powerpoint and how to do stuff the correct way. I learned that it is better to save the pictures to your H drive, then copying and pasting it right off the website. Things that I am considering doing my powerpoint on are the Nba playoffs,the Mets,or the Redsox.

Google Docs Assingment
Google Docs is a free, Web-based word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, form, and data storage service offered by Google. It allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating in real-time with other users. It is used for people to keep track of business and important papers. It is also used to help organize a persons work, and to store work instead of having to purchase a USB. It allows a person to create and edit web-based documents.
Google Docs is Google's software as a service version of an office suite. Documents, spreadsheets, forms and presentations can be created within the application itself, imported through the web interface, or sent via email. They can also be saved to the user's computer in a variety of formats. By default, they are saved to the Google servers. Open documents are automatically saved to prevent data loss, and a revision history is automatically kept. Documents can be tagged and archived for organizational purposes. The service is officially supported on recent versions of the Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome browsers running on Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X, and Linux operating systems.
Some positives of Google Docs are that can share calendars with your friends and you can allow your friends to edit your work. You can work on the same thing with your friends at the same time and both are able to work on the project. It can end up saving person money because it is a free service. Google Docs is getting better because it does not have the competition of Yahoo Briefcase anymore.
There are also some negatives of Google Docs. It is not always the most reliable website because work can be easily lost. They do clean ups of the website, which erases everyone’s work. A person should always somehow try and backup there work when using Google Docs, whether it is by saving it on a floppy disk or saving it on your own computer.

Facebook and MySpace
Facebook and MySpace are social networking sites. They are primarily used for people to add friends and talk to each other. There are more then 400 million facebook users throughout the world. Anyone in any country can accesses facebook and MySpace and get their own account for free.
There are many positives of facebook and MySpace. They are both websites that can be used to organize and share photos. Both websites are constantly changing and adding new features. It is good way to let people know what you are up to, as you can show people what you are doing. Facebook is a better way to find your friends and it is a lot easier. Facebook has much better search engine then Myspace, but they are both good ways of finding your friends. Facebook and Myspace both have pretty good security; Facebook is a little more secure. They both can help you make friends and plan stuff with other people over facebook that you would not normally do.
There are many negatives of facebook and Myspace as well. People use these websites as a way to replace human interaction. It's harder to find new friends on Facebook. The search is meant to only find people who you are already friends with in real life. You can't do an advanced search for people outside of your networks. There are information fields on Facebook and Myspace that could potentially make it easier for people to stalk you if you aren't careful. These fields include your email, phone number, and address. You can hide these from certain users or not enter them at all, but many people probably enter that info without thinking, making available to anyone on their friends list. Finally, as in most social websites there is a big problem with cyber bullying. There are constantly major news stories that have to do with stuff people write on Facebook and MySpace.
Overall Facebook is a better website then MySpace. Facebook has a lot less advertisements then MySpace. There is no one advertising stuff on Facebook yet. People from all different background hold MySpace and Facebook accounts. Anyone from athletes, to actors can hold their own facebook and MySpace accounts.

Linkedin Writting Assingment
LinkedIn is a business oriented social networking site. It is a website that is mainly used for professional networking. This website has more then 65 million user worldwide, which is half of the United States population. There are about 11 million users in Europe. India is the fastest growing country that is beginning to use LinkedIn as a major part of their lives. Some features of the website are a contact network is built up consisting of a persons direct connections, it can be used to help a person find jobs, and employers can list jobs and search for potential candidates. There is a mobile version of LinkedIn that was launched recently in 2008.
There are many positive aspects to LinkedIn. It can help people who are unemployed find a job, which allows that person to support their family. Alumni can see and understand the ways in which they are connected to other alumni in the group. Anyone can participate in the website, no matter whom they are or where they live. Finally, it also a connection channel for students and alumni.
Some negatives of LinkedIn are there is no communication functionality on the site. There are not as many negatives on this website as some of the other ones because it is a little harder for people to directly connect with each other and therefore there is less cyber bullying on this website. Twitter Writing assingment
Twitter is a social networking and micro blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. People are able to update what they are doing by the minutes and let there peers know what they are up to. Users can let everyone see their tweets or just restrict accesses to their friends and the people they choose to view. Tweets are allowed to be a maximum of 140 characters. There are more then 100 million users worldwide on twitter.
Twitter is used for many things. It is used for people to update what they are doing, it is used as a social networking site, it is used to report the news, and it is a messaging system. Twitter can be used to keep family in touch or even for a company to coordinate business. Twitter is used for both business and personal reasons.
Many people of many different backgrounds throughout the world hold their own twitter accounts. Athletes, actors, and doctors are just a few of the different kinds of people who have twitter accounts. They then are followed by the general public, who are people that are interested in them. Twitter is used very much to report news. Big news networks, such as Cnn use twitter to get news reports out faster to the public.
Some positive things about twitter are that anyone can use it, and it is not restricted to just famous people. It is also free which helps people because if you have a computer then you can have a twitter account. A good thing about twitter that many people may n to realize is that while you are on the website you are not bombarded by ad’s, as you usually are when you are using other free services. A 140 character limit to a tweet helps people realize what they are actually saying because its not like they are writing a long paragraph that they wont read over to themselves. Finally, there are numerous ways to accesses your twitter account, not just from a computer, you can use your phone as well as blackberry’s.
As with most social networking sites, there are major negatives about twitter. Cursing is very prevalent on peoples twitter accounts. There is also a problem with cyber bullying. People use twitter to bully each other and make rude remarks to each other. People with twitter accounts find it hard to maintain a profession image while using the website. Another negative thing about twitter is that there is not much to do on the website itself; there is really no point to it. It is another one of those horribly addictive websites that take people away from what is really important in their lives. It is another website for spammers to continue to try and hack people’s personal computers.
